Studying this morning's readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?
Psalms 106:1-48. Verses 8 and 44, nevertheless. When has God been more gracious, forbearing, and forgiving to me than I had any right to expect? Application to present needs?
Acts 4:1-12. Peter, arrested by the Jewish leaders, boldly proclaims Jesus to them. When will I have occasion for such boldness in Christ’s name, today or one day soon?
John 4:19-26. Jesus calls on us to worship the Father in spirit and in truth. What does this challenge me to do differently, or do better, or do more of? Action point for today?
