Bible Thursday 6/12: Joseph in Irons

Studying this morning's readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 105:1-45. Verses 17-21, when has God allowed me to experience adversity—somewhat as Joseph did—for the maturing of his divine purpose and the preparation of my role? Application to present needs?-

Acts 3:11-26. Peter preaches Jesus Christ to a crowd at the temple. In what way is this different from, and better than, most sermons I’ve heard lately? Action point?

John 4:1-18. Verse 14, how can I obtain from Jesus today, and make practical use of, the water that gives everlasting life?
