Bible Saturday 7/26: Who Will Laugh Last?

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 69:1-36. Verse 4, what is the most unfair, most unjust thing that has ever happened to me? How did God show up? Application to present needs?

Numbers 32:1-42. Moses grants the request of two tribes to settle east of the Jordan, provided they help the other tribes settle in Canaan. What divisive issue besets God’s people today, that I must pray about?-

Acts 17:16-34. Paul preaches in Athens, with only middling success. Who needs to hear the gospel from me today? How can I attune my message to the hearer’s receptivity?

Mark 7:31-37. Jesus heals a deaf-mute. If I think of myself as apprenticed to the Great Physician, doing a summer internship with him, what does he specifically want to teach me at this season?
