Bible Friday 9/12: Doctor of Souls

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 34:1-22. Verse 8, how will today be different if I concentrate on tasting God’s goodness from minute to minute, hour to hour?

II Corinthians 11:1-15. Verses 3 and 4, how are the people of God still lured away from Christ’s simplicity by the same serpent that deceived Adam and Eve? How do false gospels infiltrate the church today?

Luke 5:27-32. What sort of people that I tend to avoid would Jesus befriend and hang out with, if he were here today? What is the realistic action point for me in this story—realistic?
