Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?
Psalms 66:1-20. Verse 16, what has God done for my soul? To whom shall I declare it today?
I Chronicles 2:1-55. We have a personal God who knows us personally by name across the thousands of years. What do I want the divine record to say about me a dozen centuries from now? Action point for today?
James 5:13-20. Who urgently needs healing today? How shall I pray to the Lord Jesus Christ for that person? Who else can be on the prayer team?
Luke 8:4-15. Thinking of the “soil” in my own heart for Jesus to plant seeds in, what are the gravel or weeds or pests I need to clear out? What must I do to make the soil fertile and fruitful?
