Bible Monday 9/29: Life of Faith

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 76:1-12. Verse 9, God saves all the meek of the earth. Who are they? How will I encounter them today? Will I value them less than he does?

I Chronicles 5:1-26. We have a personal God who knows us personally by name across the thousands of years. What do I want the divine record to say about me a dozen centuries from now? Action point for today?

Galatians 2:11-21. Verse 16, what will it look like today if I take extra care to live not by works of the law, but solely by the faith of Jesus Christ?

Luke 8:26-39. What are some of the ways in which a legion of devils seeks to enslave humankind in our times? What can I do, as a disciple of Jesus, to help break that bondage? Action point for today?
