Bible Thursday 10/2: Super Abundance

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 83:1-18. Verse 16, when has shame contributed to my spiritual growth and drawn me closer to God? How can I tell the difference between godly shame and demonic shame?

I Chronicles 8:1-40. We have a personal God who knows us personally by name across the thousands of years. What do I want the divine record to say about me a dozen centuries from now? Action point for today?

Galatians 4:1-31. Verse 6, Abba, Father. Jesus wants us, as God’s adopted sons and daughters, to address him with adoring intimacy. What’s the secret conversation I need to have with God today?

Luke 9:10-17. What situation of human want and lack shall I ask Jesus to reverse today with divine provision, plenty, and abundance?
