Bible Wednesday 10/1: Travel Light

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 78:41-72. Verse 41, in what way have I been limiting God as I deal with current challenges? How can I expect different outcomes if I refuse to limit him?

I Chronicles 7:1-40. We have a personal God who knows us personally by name across the thousands of years. What do I want the divine record to say about me a dozen centuries from now? Action point for today?

Galatians 3:15-29. Verse 28, all one in Christ Jesus. Working from this starting point, how can my church do more to help heal the bitter divisions in America today? My role?

Luke 9:1-9. Verse 3, what excess baggage is weighing me down as I go on mission for Jesus today? What would it look like if I could stop majoring in the minors and learn to travel light for the Lord?
