Bible Sunday 8/13: Jericho

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalm 66:1-20. Verse 16, in a few words, what has God done for my soul? How can I better declare that today, in what terms, to what ears?

Joshua 6:1-27. As with the marching and trumpeting here, repeated seven times, when has God required patience and persistence from me, what seemed almost too much? With what result?

Acts 20:2-16. Paul raises Eutychus: what proofs of God's healing power have I seen? What did I learn? Prayer point for today?

Mark 12:1-12. Verse 10, how and why do the modern world's builders treat Jesus as a rejected stone?  By what markers would someone know I treat him as my cornerstone?
