Bible Thursday 6/21: Words in Red

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 86:1-17. Verse 17 KJV, what's one clear token, one shining personal example, of God's love and care that I can hold before me all day today?

II Samuel 2:1-32. God's chosen people at civil war. When have I experienced bitter conflict among family or friends? How did God show up? Present application?

Acts 12:20 - 13:3. Verse 2, Antioch church told to release its two founders (see 11:26). When have I been made to see that no one is indispensable when we trust God?

Matthew 24:32-44. Verse 35, what words of Jesus that I may have been neglecting (red in many Bibles) can powerfully meet a need for me right now?
