Bible Friday 7/6: Upside Down

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 140:1-13. Verses 1, 4, 11 KJV, the violent man, Though not physically violent, what echoes this in my attitudes or impulses toward others? What is God's antidote?

II Samuel 17:1-29. Double agents, spies, treachery, civil war. When is it permissible under God to use lies and deception? How well do I uphold this standard?

Acts 17:1-9. Verse 6, Jesus' men charged with turning the world upside down. How has Jesus done this to my world? What parts of my world still need turning upside down?

Mark 3:7-12. Verse 12, what place do discretion and confidentiality have in the Christian life? How to balance with the emotional approach to faith? How to manage social media?
