Bible Saturday 7/7: Sing Even Here?

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 137:1-9. Verse 4, does my adoration for God rise and fall with circumstances, or do I consistently praise him no matter what? Action point?

II Samuel 18:1-33. Verses 5 and 33, David's tenderness for his rebel son. When have I been sorely wronged by someone yet couldn't stop loving them? How does this hint at God's love for me?

Acts 17:10-15. Verse 11, converts at Berea hungry for Scripture. What's one practical thing I could start doing to become more like them?

Mark 3:13-19. What nickname might Jesus have given me when I was a new or younger believer? Does that still fit, or would he name me differently now?
