Bible Saturday 4/6: Our Duty

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 108:1-13. Verse 13 KJV, through God we do valiantly. What qualities mark the valiant Christian? How can I serve Jesus with valor today?

Ecclesiastes 12:1-14. Verse 12, what books or study (media and messages) tend to crowd God out of my life? Action point?

Zechariah 1:1-21. Verses 13 and 17, God’s angel of comfort. For what struggle or sorrow do I need that angel today? How shall I perceive its coming?

Matthew 24:15-28. Verse 22, God’s chosen ones almost perish. Verse 24, his chosen almost deceived. Why the “almost,” if God loves us so much? Is my approach to the Christian life sugary or salty?
