Bible Friday 8/16: What Mean These Stones?

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 102:1-28. Verses 24-28, how does this address climate change and other environmental fears? Where do I fall short of a truly Christian approach to these matters?

Joshua 4:1-24. Verses 21-24, what “memorial stones” have I set up to remind me of God’s specific blessings? Can I name twelve?

Acts 19:1-10. What does baptism mean to me? Valuing it for myself, urging it for others? Have I a fully trinitarian faith, communing often with the Holy Spirit?

Mark 12:35-40. Trinitarian faith continued. What does it matter to me today that Jesus the Son is seated at the right hand of God the Father?
