Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?
Psalms 119:1-48. Verses 25 and 28 KJV, what is there within me today that is dragging in discouragement or melting in weariness? What is God’s remedy?
Jeremiah 14:1-22. Verse 14, what is the “big lie” being told today about God, Christ, the Bible, the Church? What’s my answer?
Romans 6:15-23. Is it jarring to think of myself as God’s slave? Have I another theory for defeating death and securing life?
Matthew 12:31-37. What is the Holy Spirit to me? A thing or a person? Less compelling than the Father and the Son? Essential to my salvation, or optional?
