Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?
Psalms 118:1-29. Verses 21-24, how is today a better day for me, amidst the pandemic, by making Jesus Christ the cornerstone of my whole life?
Lamentations 3:1-66. Verses 22-26, what new evidence of God‘s faithfulness can I expect to see today that I didn’t see yesterday?
John 12:12-36. Verse 25, how does loving my life, or not, shape my approach to the pandemic? Verse 31, how does Jesus defeat what the prince of this world, Satan, is trying to do right now?
Matthew 20:29–21:17. Unable this day to celebrate Jesus together in person (verse 9) or to assemble in his house of prayer (verse 13), how can we as Christians show our adoration for him?
