Bible Monday 5/3: I'm Not My Own

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 1:1-6. Verse 1, what are some specific choices I may confront today, between either living up to this standard or falling short of it? In what way will I experience the blessing God promises for obedience?

Exodus 22:1-31. Why does God concern himself with the right of private property? What responsibilities does he impose along with that right?

I Corinthians 6:12-20. Verse 20, how does the recognition that I was bought with a price, the blood of Christ, cast a different light on everything I will be doing today?

John 7:10-29. Verse 17, in seeking to obey the Father, one comes to know the Son. C.S. Lewis said this sums up how he became a Christian. Does this at all match up with my experience?
