Bible Monday 10/13: Leave the Ninety-nine

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 107:1-43. Verses 23-30, into their desired haven. What’s the practical outcome of God’s symbolism here, the calm seas and safe harbor for my storm-tossed soul? Shall I trust him for this today?

I Chronicles 19:1-19. The Ammonites spurn David’s gesture of friendship and pay the price. When has my loving overture been met with hate? How did God show up?

Ephesians 4:17-32. What would it look like today for me to put off, with God’s help, the old man, corrupt and deceitful, and put on the new man, righteous and holy?

Luke 15:1-10. Who’s someone I know that is 99 times more lost than most people, and for whose rescue I can join forces today with Jesus,, the Good Shepherd? First step for me to take right now?
