Bible Monday 9/15: Weak but Willing

Studying this morning's readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 41:1-13. Verse 1, what can I do today to help the poor experience God’s love and mercy?

II Corinthians 12:1-13. Verses 7-10, Paul’s thorn in the flesh. How have my weaknesses become an occasion for Christ’s strength to be expressed in me?

Matthew 17:14-27. What mountain do I need to have Jesus move for me today? How shall I go about planting in my heart just that one tiny mustard of faith that He says will make all the difference?
